SURPRISE...It's a BOY! {Falefitu Family}

I had the unique opportunity to be part of such a special moment in the life of a special friend.  Bethany has been my dear friend since the 7th grade and our boys have grown up together.  At our age we thought we were done having kids and then surprise...she's pregnant!  What a special gift from God!  With her first child she didn't find out what she was having so with this one we decided to have a little fun with it.  I was the ONLY one that knew what they were having and was in charge of preparing the box and the balloons.  It was great to be able to capture their surprise and excitement and they saw blue balloons coming out of the box.  These are some of my favorites!

 

Rancho Santa Fe Community Center {Poker Tournament}

This was the second event that I was asked to photograph for the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center.  They held a huge Poker Tournament & Casino Night to help raise money for their Community Center.  The room was filled with about 50 competitors plus numerous spectators.  Everyone had such a great time enjoying the yummy food, the awesome band, the open bar and playing for the kids.  These are some of my favorites.

 

 

Growing by Two Feet {Halsey Family}

This beautiful family have been clients of mine since their little girl was a newborn and now baby number two, a little boy, is on the way and I'm so excited!  We had a great time in Balboa Park taking some maternity portraits.  The weather started off great and then at one point we got poured on, which made for some fun pictures, but they were such great sports and we just kept right on going.  Love how these pictures turned out and I'm excited to meet their new little guy in March.  He is going to have the BEST big sister ever!These are some of my favorites!

It's a Girl!

This was such a fun maternity and gender reveal session!  I was contacted by Lauren to do this session as a way to announce to everyone that she was pregnant and having a girl!  Her husband is an Officer in the Navy and is currently stationed on the East Coast so he wasn't able to be there, but she was joined by the other man in her life, her adorable son Grant.  He was all smiles and full of excitement.  Between the balloons, the sticks and the dinosaurs he was happy as could be. It was so much fun working with them and I'm excited to meet their new little one at her newborn session!  These are a few of my favorites.

 

 

Nicole & Jeffrey {Engagements}

So it has literally taken forever to post these favorites of a super cute couple and their engagement session.  I've been super sick and that's my excuse :)  These two came out here from Utah for the holidays probably with the expectation of nice warm weather for their engagement session....however they ended up with one of the coldest weeks we have EVER had.  Seriously!!  We scheduled their session for New Year's Eve however we all woke up to SNOW...that's right SNOW!! So we rescheduled for New Years Day and although it was still numbingly cold outside we ventured out.  These are some of my favorites of such an adorable couple.  They are so goofy together and at the same time so sweet.  They are definitely going to have a home filled with love and laughter.

 Palm trees and snow don't mix...haha!
