Little League {Home Run Derby}

This weeked Valley Center had its annual Home Run Derby.  Each player on each team competed with one another and the top point earner from each team then moved on to the Home Run Derby where they competed with all of the other top point earners at their level.  So we had a wide array of ages from Tee-Ball (4-5 yr olds) to Majors (12-13yr olds)  They all did such a great job and it was so fun to watch each player try their best to score the most points.  One of my favorite of course were the little guys in tee ball.  Its so cute to see their feet barely reach the ground in the dug out and to see them carry bats that are almost as big as them.  My other favorite part was the looks on each players face as they strived to hit the ball as hard as they could.  It was a fun day and I'm grateful that I was able to be apart of it!

Congratulations to all those that made it to the Home Run Derby and especially to all those that left as a Valley Center Little League Champions!
